Maude Margaret Lowe, 78, of 1212 Mill St., died at 8 am today in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Lowe was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was born Jan, 13, 1903, in Montgomery County, a daughter of Pearl and Samantha Cason. She was married Nov, 23, 1921, to Clarence Lowe, who survives. Surviving are five sons, Jim of Louisiana, Emory of Waveland, Sam of Marshall, and Edward and Fred, both of Crawfordsville; eight daughters, Martha Sherfey of rural Rockville, Betty Swank of Terra Haute, Mary Clore of Wingate, Jean Smith of Russellville, Lyda Decker of New Ross, and Margaret Burks, Patsy Gleason and Wanda Shelley, all of Crawfordsville; a brother, William Cason of Virginia; a sister, Lovecia Vancleave of New Market; 49 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was proceded in death by a son, Thomas and two grandchildren. - kbz
